Only vet techs and vets administered injections of anesthesia and antibiotics. No vets from abroad participated in this event. We only had highly skilled Romanian vets, working in sterile conditions. No animals died. It was an amazing event that could have done amazing things had it not been sabotaged.
Yes, clean blankets that had been shipped from the USA were used so the animals would not have to lie on the concrete floor. This is not breaking any laws. When the DSV came to inspect, it was our day off, so there was nothing for them to see, yet they told the manager of the clinic that they would close his clinic if we did not stop our work there. Since there was no way for the DSV inspectors to see our work as we had the day off, this event was stopped entirely due to the false accusations filed in the complaint.

If everything was ok, why did the DSV stop them?? I think something must have been NOT ok!
They could start the the spayaton all over again, right?
No need to sit on your hands! Stand up and get some work done!
And where is proof Dana Costin sent the email?
How many people living in Galati? About 300 000! And please show us where it say (and who say!) the email comes from someone in Galati!

So why did DSV stop the event????????
Must have been something they saw!

    Hi Torg,
The DSV came to check on the event on May 21,and that was our day off. No work was being done that day. So there was nothing for them to see. This spayathon was shut down by the DSV who over-reacted due to the complaint by Dana Costin’s boyfriend in Galati, Tudor Ciprian. The proof of the email sent by Tudor Ciprian is on the link on the first page. Perhaps you missed this. His address is there on the complaint filed.
The spayathon did continue in other cities, we went to Tecuci, Ploiesti and Barlad to continue our great work. But the animals in Botosani lost out ……. on 1000 spays/neuters due solely to the complaint filed. Yes..the DSV over-reacted to this complaint no doubt. You see they are under extreme pressure from FPAM because of the killing of the 230 dogs last year in Botosani. They told Dr. A that they did not need another potential scandal, they had received a complaint, and therefore the spayathon was stopped. So, the complaint is the reason this great event in Botosani for ADOR was stopped.
To address your second comment, as I previously stated, there was nothing for the DSV to see at the clinic as it was empty that day. We were getting ready to do a tour of the monostaries when Dr. Aurelian Stefan got the phone call from the clinic manager to come to the clinic. He and Dr. Petrisor Stefan and the members of ADOR charity in Botosani went to the clinic to meet with the DSV. There were no dogs there on that day. They were told that a complaint had been filed that said we were allowing vets from other countries to operate on the dogs. This is not true…..we weren’t doing this.
